Maryland Industrial Partnerships (MIPS) promotes the development and commercialization of products and processes through industry/university research partnerships.  MIPS provides matching funds to help Maryland companies pay for the university research.  Projects are initiated by the companies to meet their own research and development goals.

Through MIPS, Maryland firms have the opportunity to leverage their research and development funds and gain access to the creative talents and extensive research base of the University System of Maryland.  MIPS matching funds are awarded on a competitive basis for projects based on proposals submitted jointly by Maryland companies and researchers from any of the 13 University System institutions.

Calvert LSM Recruitment/Information Breakfast for Tomorrow, Jan. 22 Has Been Rescheduled

 Winter Weather Causes LSM to Reschedule One of Four Recruitment Breakfasts 

 The Class of 2015 Calvert Information Breakfast Scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 22 has been cancelled and rescheduled for a later date.

The Leadership Southern Maryland (LSM) Board of Directors announced today, due to inclement weather, the Calvert County Class of 2015 Information/Recruitment Breakfast scheduled for Wednesday, Jan.22 from 8 to 9:30 a.m. has been rescheduled. The rescheduled event will take place on Wednesday, February 12 from 8-9:30 a.m. at the Calvert County Economic Development Department in Prince Frederick.

Those who had planned to attend or were considering attending are welcome to attend either of the other upcoming breakfasts in St. Mary’s or Charles counties should it better fit within schedules.

LSM Alum, Co-workers Raise Awareness & Funds For Those Battling Breast Cancer

Barry Friedman, LSM '09, and his co-workers at Primary Residential Mortgage Inc. kicked off a 'This One's For The Girls' initiative to raise awareness and donations to support the battle against breast cancer back in October. The team used their company Facebook page to raise funds and support The Red Devils, Inc., an organization which helps improve the quality of life for families experience the hardships of this health crisis right here in Southern Maryland.

This latest local, charitable endeavor is among many the PRMI staff have undertaken which result in a direct and tremendous impact, as well as drawing interest to the Red Devils organization and their partnership with MedStar St. Mary's and Calvert Memorial hospitals.
